“I deeply resent the destruction of federalism represented by Hillary Clinton’s willingness to go into a state she doesn’t even live in and pretend to represent the people there,” Keyes said. “So I certainly wouldn’t imitate it.” — Alan Keyes, FOX News, March 2000.
What a hypocrite. Keys, sit down and shut up.

Yep, I don’t really agree with ANYONE doing that. Mike Ditka should have run. That would have been quite interesting. ;)
The only thing i’ll give Keyes is that I think Hillary’s motivation was more to find the place where she thought she had the best chance to win, then go there. In a sense, she sought out a place to run in, in order to get into office.
Keyes, from what i’ve heard anyways, was sought out by his party to run against Obama.
What made me laugh though was how he rectified his position against affirmative action (people should be given positions without regard to their skin color) with a big reason he was picked to run against Obama being *because* he was black. He seemed to get a big angered when the NPR lady seemed to be suggesting that his ends were justifying his means (as I think what you’re suggesting).
Anyway, I guess it’s always easy to second guess peoples intentions — but yah, he had to expect those quotes to be brought back up given the situation ;)
If truth be told.… this site kicks ass! –from someone who probably wouldn’t have wrote this last year.…
This comment is about your post from January 1, 2004 about Fear (or Laziness). I am in complete agreement with what you wrote. As a matter of fact, that is the title of my blog. Fear & Laziness: I could me things better, but I’m either to scared or to lazy to.
Alan’s lost his keyes
I’ve changed my mind Kris — Alan Keyes *is* a complete moron:
“I think it’s perfectly clear if you ask people are you going to vote against God or for the Democratic party they will stand with God,” he says.
