I arise in the morning torn between a desire to improve the world and a desire to enjoy the world.
This makes it hard to plan the day.

just kristin here and now

I do hope that Jay and the other folks at the Linkery will forgive my lewd improvisation using their ever-so-cute pumpkin sculpture of a sausage-end. D and I went there for our wedding anniversary this past Friday, and as usual, ate much and well. After about ten visits, D and I agree that the Linkery is probably the most delicious restaurant in San Diego. They pay so much attention to the quality of their dishes (not at all limited to their famous sausages or carefully-chosen beers and wines) that their menu changes to reflect the freshness of the available ingredients and their own satisfaction with their unique creations. Even for those of you who aren’t local, their blog and newsletter are foodies’ delights, with descriptions so mouthwatering that one is easily overcome with the need to either rush to the store and then a kitchen (though where one would pick up ‘roo ribs on short notice is beyond me) or straight to the Linkery itself. Go! Eat!
