More matter, with less art.
In an attempt both to make myself a healthier self and to stand in solidarity with my on-the-way-to-smoke-free mom, I have jumped back on the WW bicycle. Both mom and I survived day one, mom down to a third of her normal inhale intake, and me having not once stopped by Tracy’s room (or anywhere, for that matter) for junkfood. If we are cranky, we are succeeding, so cheer us on, dammit!
JustKristin is a notebook, a diary, a chapbook, a napkin at a restaurant, a deposit slip from the back of my checkbook, a gum wrapper, a piece of notebook paper borrowed from a stranger, a greeting card, a piece of stationary with a transparent envelope, a billboard, a soapbox, an altar and string of prayer beads, a prescription pad, a christmas newsletter or wheel full of holiday slides, the back of my hand, the corner of a loved-one's newspaper, and an occasional "Yawp!"

I broke a spoke on my rear wheel for the third time, and the wheel is at the local-bike-shop. My mechanic suggests that I have the whole wheel rebuilt with quality spokes. He says that it’s going to take a week and maybe ten days. I’ve been riding an average of three days a week since June first. I’m a bit crabby, too.
