This list consists of every song I have been subjected to via the bathroom radio at work that has made me try to pee as fast as possible so that I could flee. It is not a basic “songs I hate” list, as that would take more time than I have.
- “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart” by Elton John and Kiki Dee
- “Muskrat Love” by Captain and Tenille
- “Three’s Company Theme” — this song, almost more than any other, makes me want to do violence to anyone standing near enough
- “Hard to Say I’m Sorry” by Chicago, who should say they are sorry for almost everything they did in the 80s.
- Easy (Like Sunday Morning) by the Commodores (one of whom was, for those of you too young to remember, the now-more-famous-as-a-celeb-dad Lionel Richie) (while I can see the possible use of this song in a laxative commercial, it nonetheless is disconcerting to hear while in the work restroom)
